Welcome To Five Star!
Five Star Flag Football is the premier flag football summer program in New England and one of the first NFL Flag-sponsored summer programs for youth.
While the NFL's popularity is increasing, so are concerns about head injuries and their long-term affects. Five Star Flag Football addresses this by providing a fun yet very safe summer program where children can learn to play a very safe sport - Flag Football.
Flag football has become one of the fastest growing sports in the United States, but it often lacks proper instruction. Our program strives to teach proper flag football fundamentals and techniques such as catching, throwing, fair play, teamwork, and leadership. Our founding partners are college coaches and athletic directors with years of experience running high quality youth programs. We understand the importance of engaging children.
Why Kids Love Five Star
We've watched a lot of kids grow up at Five Star, returning year after year for an unforgettable summer experience. We're confident that once your child steps foot on our field, they'll have the same experience! Our staff is passionate about creating an environment where athletes of all skill levels can thrive and make memories they'll treasure forever.
They'll improve their athletic skills...
No matter which sport your child plays, the Five Star Flag Football will help them to improve in areas such as agility, speed, and endurance. Additionally, we focus on building and improving the confidence, leadership, and teamwork skills of all participants. Our staff consists of successful coaches and college athletes who go above and beyond to engage children and enhance their experience.
...and have fun doing it!
Five Star is a place where kids can try something new and learn with no pressure. We're all about creating a comfortable, fun environment for campers - no matter their athletic ability.
Camp is a great place for kids to make new friends while getting active and growing their confidence. They'll also love the movies at lunchtime (Little Giants, Space Jam, Home Alone, etc.) and access to basketball and swimming.
Five Star Flag Football is conveniently located on the campus of world-class Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. Our program is hosted on Gordon Field next to the Gosman Athletic Center located on 415 South Street. We are proud to offer a convenient and safe pickup and drop off location.
Our fields and facilities are state-of-the-art. Your child will enjoy playing on a synthetic turf field used by college athletes - similar to the fields played on by many NFL teams. Our top-notch facility helps us provide the ultimate summer sports experience for your child. No other flag football program can compare.
If the weather turns unfavorable, we are able to run the program inside our world-class arena located on the campus premises in the Gosman Athletic Center. We are proud to be one of the only programs in New England who can offer an indoor alternative. Whether we are outside on the beautiful turf field or indoors due to weather, our facilities are second to none.
Brandeis allows us access to its beautiful grass and turf fields and an indoor arena in case we experience unfavorable weather. Sometimes it is too hot, sunny, or rainy. We are always watching the weather forecast and are ready to go inside to the state-of-the-art Gosmon Sports Center whenever necessary. The Gosman Sports Center has enough floor space for us to accommodate all camp activities. Excessive temperatures and rain are never a problem.
On days when camp is held outside, we go into the Gosman Center to have lunch in an air-conditioned lunchroom. The facilities at Brandeis allow us to provide a wonderful camp experience for all!
It is our aim to provide the best flag football summer experience for all of our participants. Five Star Flag Football wants all participants to gain confidence, make friends, and increase athletic skills. In addition to learning rules and strategies of playing flag football, we want our participants to have fun. We will teach proper techniques such as catching and throwing a football as well as instilling in our participants the importance of leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
